Orientation:

Official GED Test

  • The GED test is given once a month at the Medina County Career Center

  • 4:45p - 10:00p

  • Must attend both dates in month to complete the test

  • Limited seating – Register early!

GED Eligibility and Procedures Requirements:

  • Ohio Resident

  • Ohio Drivers License or State ID or passport required as identification

  • 19 years of age or older/under 19 requires permission of school district superintendent.

Application Procedure:

  1. Submit an application*: go to www.ode.state.oh.us and search: GED and follow instructions. Be prepared with your drivers license number or state ID number and a Visa or Mastercard. The cost of the GED test is $40

  2. Twenty four hours after submitting your online application and payment or five weeks after submitting your paper application, call the Medina County Career Center to find out if your application has been accepted at the State GED office. If you are approved, register to take the GED Test.

*Paper application is also available at the Medina County Career Center. Complete and mail the applicaton and payment - $40 certified check or money order - to the State GED Office. The address is on the applicaton. No personal checks accepted.
