  • Estimating

  • Blueprint reading

  • Suspended ceiling

  • Cabinet building

  • Introduction to masonry

  • Drywall, hanging and finishing

  • First Aid, AED and CPR Certification

  • OSHA certification

Students in the Carpentry class will focus on the layout, fabrication, assembly and construction of buildings and homes. Many times the senior class, working in conjunction with the senior Building Trades class, constructs a residential home. Suggested prerequisites: mechanical drawing and industrial arts.

Each year, the Carpentry students build a house from the ground up. This beautiful ranch home is located in Valley City and will be available at auction once completed.
