Arts & Media Communication

Graphic Art and Printing Technology
Students enrolled in this program are trained in the reproduction of print and pictures.

Multimedia Digital Design
Students learn the technical creation of artwork for commercial purposes as used in advertising, publications, packaging, and television to generate interest in a product or idea

Construction and Landscaping System

Building Trades
Building Trades students learn the fundamentals of construction, maintenance, repair, and remodeling of commercial, private, public and/or industrial buildings and homes.

Carpentry
Students in the Carpentry class will focus on the layout, fabrication, assembly and construction of buildings and homes.

Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning (HVAC)
Students in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning program will learn to install, maintain and repair gas, oil, and electrical residential and light commercial heating and cooling units. 

Landscape Design
Students will design and produce project-based portfolios to present to post-secondary admissions personnel or prospective employers. This program will blend sound business principles with landscaping design skills.

Computer Information Systems Technology

Computer Science and Forensics
The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator Program is an intensive two-year program that takes students through four Microsoft certifications to complete the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator program

E-Commerce Specialist
The E-Commerce Specialist program provides high school students with the fundamental concepts and skills for entrepreneurship, business management, marketing, computer applications, digital design, Internet and networking basics, and website design and development.

Engineering Technology and Design
Students will work with CAD/CAM software technology. Computer Assisted Drafting is training in communicating design information to industry through the use of board drawings and CAD drawings.

Software Engineering & Web Development
Students who have a strong interest in information technologies and enjoy an interesting and challenging curriculum will excel in software and web page development and database administration.

Health, Wellness and Public Safety

Animal Management & Care
Students in Animal Care learn proper nutrition, care and grooming of animals, basics of laboratory testing, along with management techniques for pet shops and stables. These students run the Critter Cove Pet Shop.

Chef & Restaurant Management
Students train in a mini-culinary institute environment to prepare, present, and serve food to the public. The students operate the Center Café restaurant, where students learn all aspects of the food service industry.

Cosmetology
Students learn the personal care of patrons’ hair, skin, and nails. Training occurs in a lab setting as well as in the Today’s Image Salon. The Today’s Image Salon is a full service salon operated by students and open to the public.

Diversified Medical Technologies (DMT)
In the Diversified Medical Technologies program students are introduced to career opportunities in the medical field. This program includes out-of-classroom clinical experience.

Early Childhood Education (ECE)
This program focuses on the physical, social, emotional, and mental development of young children. It includes the operation of an infant room, a full-day preschool and two half-day preschool programs for children from birth to five years of age

Public Safety: Criminal Justice, Fire & EMT Training

This program focuses on the public safety sector. Law enforcement, Courts, Corrections, Security, Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter careers are explored.


Optical Technology
Students will learn about common eye disorders, testing for visual acuity, depth perception, color blindness, proper use of optical instruments, prescription analysis, and fitting technologies. 

Sports Fitness Training
The Sports Fitness program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge base to easily transition to college or be prepared for a career in sports, fitness, or the healthcare field.


Teacher Education Academy

Students in the Teacher Education Academy will have multiple levels of experiences: early childhood, middle childhood, high school, special education, and career-technical education to prepare them to pursue a career in education through post-secondary studies.

Transportation & Industrial Technology

Automotive Technology
Automotive Technology, an ASE certified program, includes diagnosing, adjusting, repairing and replacing mechanical, and electrical parts of an automobile.


Auto Collision Technology

This ASE certified program teaches the repairing, refinishing, and restoring of the body of a damaged automobile or other vehicle. This includes upholstery, trim, and glass.


Commercial Truck & Equipment Technology

This ASE nationally certified program offers training from an ASE Master Certified Instructor in diagnosing, disassembling, reconditioning and replacing of diesel engines and components used to power trucks, buses, construction equipment, electronic generators, railroad trains, ships and similar equipment.


Power Equipment Technology

Power Equipment Technology focuses on the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of 2 and 4-cycle gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.

Precision Machining Technology
The Precision Machining Technology course offered at the Medina County Career Center utilizes modern metal working equipment to design and produce manufacturing components.

Specialized 1/2 Day Programs*
*Counselor Referral Required
Eligible Students: Any student between the ages of 16 and 22 with a disability, an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and residing in one of the 6 affiliate school districts.

Culinary Arts & Textile Services
Expanded to include basic skills in commercial housekeeping, laundry operations, and dietary support as well as basic food preparation.

Facilities Maintenance
Designed to teach basic skills in the cleaning and upkeep of facilities including basic plumbing, electrical and more.
